Sam Cook, Mark Plunk (RIP), Hans J. Underwood and Frank Fullbright at a refueling point in Plei Djereng (west of Pleiku) before flying into Cambodia. Three copies of the photo were made, one each for Sam, Frank, and Hans. We've each held onto it for more than half a century, a quiet testament to the moment and the men.
