These 2 unit helicopters were named, but I have been unable to complete the wording that was painted on the Huey.
UH-1C, 1968-69, Mike Schuster, "____ Lord".
UH-1H, Jose Garcia, "Jane Gre___"

So far to date I have identified 62 unit helicopters that were named with paint on its fuselage.

Just checking in and seeing all the wonderful changes to the website. It's been a pleasure all these years seeing the many changes Hans has made to this website. I am in the process of sending Hans a selection of pictures I have on a thumb drive to be added to the website. I was with the 2nd Plt from Feb 70 to Aug 71. My first ship I was assigned to was 67-17211. Simpson was my crewchief and he taught me a lot. I ended up crewing 211. When it was sent off for direct support maintenance I was assigned another ship. but like your first love, you never remember the rest. I wish I could remember my next ship but alas, I cannot. Like so many memories lost, I have also lost memories of the good and bad times in Vietnam. This website helps me at least keep some of what I do remember.
Hang in there eh!!

There are so many brothers that I would love to know where they are now. I was with the 134 from 69-70. Flew as gunner on ship 151 until crashed into the mountain side on January 11th 69, MIA for three days. Has anyone ever remember Steve Bollock ? Best of friends, would love to hear from him...

I wasn’t with the 134th long. I transferred in from the 129th in June’68 and went home in September’68. Like I said, my first 9 months was up north a ways. I only remember a couple of guys. One was a crew cheif by the name of Wolfgang Yellowhorse and the other one was Jim Smith.
To this day, I still hear those incoming rounds when we got hit.
